Experience: I intern at Microsoft (Redmond) as a Technology Intern for its Global Security department. Before this, I interned for two summers in a row at TSRI (The Software Revolution, Inc.), and I worked for several years in the restaurant business as a lead hostess at Red Hook Forecaster’s Pub in Woodinville, WA, and Anthony’s Home Port Restaurant in Kirkland, WA. I studied abroad in Graz, Austria in Fall 2010 – Winter 2011, where I learned about adapting to working with people from many different cutlures and backgrounds.

Fall Quarter 2011 Goals:

  • AKPsi Music Video ("Blue & Yellow")
    • Teach brothers the dance
    • Film at least 2-3 scenes before Quarter End
      • Filming Potluck (with Social committee)
    • Finish recording
    • Storyboard the video

    • Make flyers and assist in creating hype about events

    • Survey life of 2 weeks (at end of quarter)

Spring Quarter 2011 Goals:

  • AKPsi Promotional Music Video Planning (“Blue & Yellow”):
    • Have the lyrics written
    • Storyboard the entire video

    • Choreograph a dance for all brothers to perform
    • Film the dance & other quick scenes

Professional Background and any previous or current work (you can decide if you want to include this): Currently working at True Religion Brand Jeans, Completed Enterprise Rent a Car management internship over summer of 2010

Hobbies: Horseback riding, running, fishing, skiing, hanging with friends, and dancing

Job duties: Compile information and create brochures, flyers and banners for information sessions. Work on professional communications portfolio as well as designing new shirts sweatshirts and other promotional apparel.

Current Projects: Making large reusable banner, working on professional communications portfolio, designing a new shirt for our group, etc.

Long term goals associated with your leadership position: Redefine the effectiveness of the Marketing committee, find ways to market differently, set standards for marketing committee. 

2009 - 2010

The Marketing Committee of the Gamma Omega chapter is responsible for overseeing the conduct of public relations for the chapter.

This includes activities in the areas of relations with faculty, the Capital Hill community, students who are not members, chapter alumni, and other student-groups.

Much of the work that we do is closely related to the activities of the Fundraising Committee and the Membership Committee, where we have helped create marketing plans for quarterly pledging and the many fundraising events put on each quarter.

The Marketing Committee currently meets Wednesdays at 7:30 PM.
